Getting Started

Create your POX Studio account in under 2 minutes

This section walks you through registering your business on POX Studio for the first time. You do not need any technical knowledge — just follow each step in order.

📋Before You Begin

  • A valid work or business email address
  • Your business name as registered (if applicable)
  • A password with a minimum of 8 characters
  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)

Open the POX Studio Website

Open your web browser and navigate to the POX Studio website. You will see the homepage with the headline "The POS platform built for the UAE." This is where your journey begins.

Click the "Get started" button in the top-right corner, or click "Start free trial" in the middle of the page.

Both buttons lead to the same registration page.

The Registration Page

You will be taken to the registration page. The page is split into two sections:

- Left side: A brief summary of what POX Studio offers (free trial, no credit card, UAE VAT compliant).

- Right side: The registration form titled "Create your account."

Review the form fields. You will need to fill in 7 fields before clicking the register button.

Enter Your Business Name

Click on the "Business Name" field and type the official name of your business. This name will appear on your receipts, reports, and inside the dashboard.

You can change your business name later from the Settings page — no need to get it perfect right now.

Enter Your First and Last Name

FIRST NAME

Enter your first name. This is the name of the account owner (the admin).

e.g. Ahmed

LAST NAME

Enter your last (family) name.

e.g. Al-Rashidi

These fields represent the main account owner. You can add other staff members with different names after you log in.

Enter Your Work Email

Enter a valid email address. This will be your login username and where you receive important notifications like password resets, invoices, and alerts.

Make sure you have access to this email inbox — you may need to verify it after registration.

Select Your Country

Click the dropdown to select your country. By default, "United Arab Emirates" is pre-selected. If your business is based in the UAE, leave this as is.

Your country selection determines the default currency (AED) and tax settings (UAE VAT 5%) applied to your account.

Select Your Business Type

Click the dropdown and select the type of business you operate. This is important because POX Studio customises the dashboard, features, and workflows specifically for your business type.

Restaurant

Full-service or quick-service restaurants with table management, KDS, and kitchen workflows.

Café

Coffee shops, bakeries, and casual dining with fast counter service.

Retail

Shops selling physical products — clothing, electronics, groceries, etc.

Rental

Businesses that rent out equipment, vehicles, or spaces by time or day.

Choose carefully. Your business type affects which modules and features are enabled. You can request a change later by contacting support.

Set Your Password

Create a strong password for your account:

1. Click the "Password" field and type your password.

2. Click the "Confirm Password" field and type the exact same password again.

3. You can click the eye icon (👁) on the right to show or hide the password as you type.

Password Requirements

  • At least 8 characters long
  • Both fields must match exactly

Use a strong password: mix uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Example: MyBiz@2026!

Create Your Account

Once all fields are filled in correctly, click the "Create Free Account →" button at the bottom of the form.

What happens after you click?

  1. 1POX Studio creates your business account and workspace.
  2. 2You are automatically logged in as the Owner/Admin.
  3. 3You are redirected to the main dashboard.
  4. 4A welcome email containing an email verification link is sent to the address you registered with.

Important: Verify Your Email

You will be taken directly to the dashboard after registration — you do not need to verify your email to start using POX Studio.

However, a verification link will be sent to your inbox. We strongly recommend verifying your email as soon as possible, because:

• Email verification is required before you can connect a payment method (Stripe).

  • It protects your account from unauthorized access.
  • You will not receive important billing and system alerts without a verified email.

Simply open the welcome email and click "Verify Email Address" to complete this step.

Congratulations! You have successfully created your POX Studio account. You are now on the main dashboard where you can see:

- Revenue and order summary for today

- Navigation sidebar on the left with all modules

- Your business name and live status indicator in the top bar

Recommended Next Steps

  1. 1Set up your first Location (branch) under Settings → Locations.
  2. 2Add your menu items in the Catalog module.
  3. 3Invite your staff and assign them roles under Staff.
  4. 4Connect your payment method under Settings → Payments.
  5. 5Open the POS Terminal to start accepting orders.

🔧Registration Troubleshooting

"Email already in use" error

An account with this email already exists. Click "Sign in" below the form to log into your existing account, or use the "Forgot password" link to reset your password.

Passwords do not match

Re-type the password carefully in both fields. Use the eye icon to make them visible and verify they are identical.

Page does not load

Check your internet connection. Try refreshing the page (press F5 or Ctrl+R). If the problem continues, try a different browser.

Button not working after clicking

One or more required fields are empty or have an error. Scroll up to see if any field is highlighted in red, fix it, and try again.
